We are so grateful to the local St. Stephen businesses and community supporters who stepped up with donations of products, supplies and other support to help make this year’s International Homecoming Festival such a success.
A heartfelt thank-you to:
These St. Stephen businesses generously supported festival activities and helped us look after volunteers, participants and guests throughout the week.
And a very special thank-you to Danny Michaud, who generously donated his time and gave us two hours of live music on the waterfront on fireworks night. What a wonderful gift to the community.
So much of what makes this festival special comes down to local people and businesses simply asking, “How can we help?”
Thank you for supporting the 53rd International Homecoming Festival and for helping make it such a special celebration! See less
The International Homecoming Festival is one of the longest-running cross-border community celebrations in North America. Since 1974, it has brought together the people of St. Stephen, New Brunswick and Calais, Maine to celebrate the unique friendship and shared history of our two communities.
This year, the festival returns to its roots as a community-driven event. Following a period where the Municipal District of St. Stephen provided organizational support, a new all-volunteer Canadian committee has taken the reins – working in partnership with our American counterparts to bring the festival back to the community that created it.
The festival draws visitors from both sides of the border and beyond, supporting local businesses, celebrating our community’s identity, and strengthening the ties that make this region special. It belongs to everyone here – and it only happens because people like you get involved.
Mission/purpose of the festival
The International Homecoming Festival is a long-standing celebration that brings together the neighbouring communities of St. Stephen, New Brunswick and Calais, Maine. The festival celebrates the shared history, friendship, and cooperation between the two communities and has been running since 1974.
